The Bristol 48h Puppet Film Challenge was originally created in 2020 by the House of Funny Noises. Its aim was to give people a creative outlet during the COVID 19 lockdowns, and to provide a platform for people to create, explore and showcase puppet film when they weren’t able to leave the house.

The event is now a Puppet Place production with Cat Rock at the helm! It has lead to the creation of over 200 original puppet films from all over the world! We want to spread the joy of puppetry and stop-motion animation far and wide encouraging professionals and new-comers alike to take on the Puppet Place 48!
